Overview

This privacy policy explains how Christian Alvarez ("I", "me") collects, uses, and protects information submitted through this personal portfolio website at christianalvarezdev.pages.dev. This site exists solely to showcase software engineering work and allow potential employers or collaborators to get in touch.

The only personal data collected on this site comes through the contact form. When you submit the form, the following information is stored:

No other data is intentionally collected. I do not use analytics tools, tracking pixels, or advertising networks.

How Data Is Used

Contact form submissions are used solely to read and respond to your message. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

Third-Party Services

This site uses two third-party services:

• Cloudflare Pages — hosts this website and handles all incoming requests. Cloudflare may log server-level data such as IP addresses and request timestamps as part of normal infrastructure operation. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — stores contact form submissions in a hosted PostgreSQL database. Data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Tracking

This site does not set any cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set technical cookies as part of its infrastructure and security layer. No advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies are used.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to read and respond to your message. Once a message has been addressed, it may be deleted from the database. There is no automated retention schedule — submissions are reviewed and removed manually.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted a message through this site, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have submitted through this site, email calvarez2547@gmail.com. I will respond as quickly as possible.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
